I have lost a friend today. We go through life meeting very few people who touch us in ways that fundamentally change us for the better. Deb, was one of those people for me an for many who knew her.

As a newbie to MT, Deb embodied what it meant to be a Montanan... The kindness to her fellows... Her hard work and strong back. She knew the land and these rivers.. Oh, did she know the rivers and seemed to connected to them in a spiritual way.

I will feel forever blessed to have known her for albeit a short period of time. I learned from her so much... and will miss her terribly. I hope that she can now find the peace that so eluded her in life.

While my heart is filled with sadness... it will soon be replaced by joy from having been her friend... I am the man I am today, in part because of her.

I will miss you Deb.
